This tutorial will guide you through the process of using WP Sheet Editor – AI to generate content directly in your WP Sheet Editor spreadsheets. Let’s get started!

1- Open the spreadsheet you’ll use

In this example, we’ll use the WordPress posts spreadsheet to generate 4 new blog posts with AI.

We need to go to WP Sheet Editor > Edit posts, but you can use any of the WP Sheet Editor spreadsheets.

2- Add new rows

Once you’re in the WP Sheet Editor spreadsheet for the post type you want to work with (such as posts, pages, products, or courses), navigate to the ‘Add New’ option and select ‘Add rows with AI’ to start generating new content.

3- Generate WordPress content with AI

This is how you can add rows with the AI content creation panel:

  • How many rows do you want to add: Specify how many rows of content you want to create. This allows you to generate multiple pieces of content at once, saving you time and effort. In this example, we will generate 4 posts.
  • What columns do you want to autofill with the AI: Select which fields you want the AI to generate content for. All the editable columns in WP Sheet Editor are compatible here, but we use these as an example:
    • Titles: Automatically generate titles for your posts, pages, or products.
    • Content: Generate the full content or body text for your entries.
    • Excerpts: Create brief summaries of the content.
    • SEO Titles and Descriptions: Generate optimized SEO titles and descriptions for better search engine visibility.
    • Featured image: Generate featured images in one go.
  • Prompt: Enter the prompt that describes how you want the AI to generate each field. You can specify things like:
    • The content’s length (e.g., short or detailed).
    • The format (e.g., bullet points, paragraphs).
    • Tone (e.g., formal, casual, professional).
    • The style or other specific instructions that will help guide the AI in creating the content.
  • Do you want to set default values for the other columns: To simplify the process, you can also set default values for certain fields like status, category, etc. Here you have three options:
    • No
    • Copy from existing item (page, post, product, custom post type)
    • Enter default values: Select the fields and add the default values manually.

Optional: If you use the WP Sheet Editor – Automations add-on, you can take things a step further by scheduling the creation of rows to run on autopilot. You can set the automation to create content once or on a recurring schedule, allowing AI to generate new content for you without lifting a finger.
