WP Sheet Editor – Courses creates four spreadsheets (courses, lessons, quizzes, questions); depending on the spreadsheet you want to open, you need to follow any of these paths:
- Courses = Go to WP Sheet Editor > Edit Courses.
- Lessons = Go to WP Sheet Editor > Edit Lessons.
- Quizzes = Go to WP Sheet Editor > Edit Quizzes.
- Questions = Go to WP Sheet Editor > Edit Questions.
Let’s take, for example, the courses spreadsheet. You’ll see all your LearnPress courses displayed in the spreadsheet, where every row is a course and every column is a field.
Export LearnPress data from the SOURCE SITE
Important: There’s no special order when it comes to exporting your learnpress data. In this example, we will use the Courses spreadsheet, but you can follow the same steps in this section to export lessons, quizzes and questions.
To start the export process, open the Export tool.
In the export settings, select the following options to customize your migration:
- What columns do you want to export: We recommend exporting ALL THE COLUMNS since they are crucial for a proper migration.
- Which rows do you want to export: All the rows from my current search.
- What app will you use to edit this file: Microsoft Excel (Office 365), for example.
- Name of this export: This is optional, so we will leave it empty.
After filling in these options, click on the Start new export button.
A CSV file containing your LearnPress courses will download to your computer, ready for migration or backup.
Important: Now you need to migrate the other LearnPress data:
- Lessons
- Quizzes
- Questions
Import LearnPress data into the TARGET SITE
Before you proceed with the import process, it’s important to note that you need to have your LearnPress data in CSV files.
Import order: In order for the questions, quizzes, lessons and courses to connect correctly on the target site, you must follow this order when importing the data in the target site:
- Questions
- Quizzes
- Lessons
- Courses
If you change the order, the migration process will not work, because the data will not be connected correctly.
We will show you how to import the questions, and you can apply the same steps to import quizzes, lessons and courses.
In the target site, let’s go to WP Sheet Editor > Edit Questions and open the Import tool.
To select the CSV file you wish to upload, you need to choose the following values:
- Source: CSV file from my computer
- Click on Choose File and select the CSV from your computer.
- Click on Next.
Next, click on Import all the columns.
Since these questions (and quizzes, lessons and courses) are not in the target site, we will import them all as new.
- Do you want to update or create items: Import all rows as new.
- Click on Next.
After clicking Next, you will see a preview of the import. If everything looks good in the preview, simply click on The preview is fine, start import. This will initiate the import process.
IMPORTANT: After importing the questions, you need to repeat this process with the quizzes, lessons and courses (in that order).
Using WP Sheet Editor – Courses to migrate LearnPress content is a quick and efficient way to manage your LearnPress data. Whether you’re migrating to a new site or organizing content, this plugin simplifies the process, offering bulk edit capabilities, CSV import/export, and easy duplication of items—all from one user-friendly interface.
