After completing the payment process, you will get a zip file that you need to install as a plugin on your website.
- Go to Plugins > Add New Plugin.
- Click on Upload plugin.
- Click on Choose file.
- Locate the file on your computer.
- Click on Install now.
- Click on Activate plugin.
- Enter your license and click on Activate License.
Edit any WordPress post type in a spreadsheet
After activating the license, you can generate a spreadsheet for any post type, this includes normal post types like posts and pages, and custom post type added using third party plugins.
You can generate a spreadsheet for recipes, a spreadsheet for products, a spreadsheet for downloads, a spreadsheet for directory listings, and so on. All custom post types can be edited in the spreadsheet easily.
To generate a spreadsheet, go to WP Sheet Editor > Setup spreadsheet.

The file upload fields will allow you to upload files. You can click on the upload button or double click on the cell in order to paste the URL as simple text.
When you click on the Upload file button, the plugin will open a popup where you can upload the files or select them from the media library.
Taxonomy term fields (category, tag, custom taxonomy, etc.)
If you want to edit taxonomy term fields such as categories, tags or attributes (colors, sizes, brands, materials, etc.), you can view the terms or add new terms by typing the term in the cell.
You can click on the term you want to add, or delete it by clicking on the “X” in each term.
Simple text fields
To edit plain text fields, simply edit the text. In all field types, you can autofill downwards, as you would in Excel, Google Sheets, etc.
Create hundreds of duplicates quickly

- Operator: =

Once you’re in the Bulk Edit tool, you need to select these values:
- Select the rows that you want to update: You can select any of these options:
- Edit all the rows from a specific search
- Search for specific rows and edit the search results
- Edit all the rows you manually selected in the spreadsheet
- What field do you want to edit: You can select any field here, but we’ll select the Categories field.
- Select type of edit: The types of edits you can apply will depend on the field you have selected. In his case, since we will add a new category to all the posts we filtered in the previous section of this post, we will select Append.
- Terms: Add the category here.
- Click on Execute Now.
As you can see, we have bulk added a new category to all the filtered posts, and it’s been added to the column.

Bulk edit offline (export to CSV)

- Microsoft Excel (Office 365)

- Other
- Name of this export: You can add a name for this export in this field. Then, when you hover over the Export tool, you’ll be able to reuse this export.
- Click on Start new export.
As you can see below, we have exported our WordPress posts to a CSV file. Now we can proceed to bulk update posts data in the CSV file, after that, we will import the changes back into WordPress.
Import posts, pages, and custom post types
After editing your WordPress content in a CSV file, you can Import the new content or the changes to existing content.
You need to select the CSV file you’ll import by selecting these values:
- Source: You can select any of these options:
- CSV file from my computer (we’ll select this option)
- CSV file from URL
- Copy and paste from another spreadsheet or table
- CSV file in the server
- Since we’re importing a CSV file from the computer, we need to click on Choose File and select the file from your computer.
- Click on Next.
You can Import all the columns or Select individual columns to import.
You need to select how you want to import the data:
- Do you want to update or create items: You can select any of these options:
- Create new items and update existing items
- Import all rows as new
- Only create new items, ignore existing items
- Only update existing items, ignore new items
- If you select any option to update existing items, you will have to match the rows using any field. We recommend the ID field.
- Click on Next.
Finally, you’ll see a preview. If everything is OK, you need to click on The preview is fine, start import.
