Getting started → Install and activate WP Sheet Editor
Important: We assume you already have WooCommerce and some orders to manage with the spreadsheet.
If you want to transform the way you manage your WooCommerce orders, you need to install and activate the WP Sheet Editor – WooCommerce Orders plugin.

After installing the plugin and activating your license, you can go to WP Sheet Editor > Edit orders to open the spreadsheet. You’ll see all your WooCommerce orders and their complete data in the spreadsheet.
Optional → Customize the orders’ spreadsheet
If you open the Columns manager, you can drag and drop WooCommerce order fields in order to create a custom spreadsheet.
Once you’re in the Columns manager, you can drag the columns to the left or right side to enable or disable specific columns in the spreadsheet.
- If you want to rename the columns, click on “Edit” on each column, and you can change the name.
- If you want to remove the columns completely, you can click on the “x” button on each column.
- To change the columns’ field type and other data, click on the “Settings” button on each column.
Finally, you can save the changes.
Manage WooCommerce orders in the spreadsheet
If you need to manage your WooCommerce orders individually, you can do it using the spreadsheet.
Just click on Enable editing, and you can start changing values in the spreadsheet cells.
The cells work according to the field type.
For example, the drop-down fields will show the options listed so that you can select the one you want.
The checkbox fields allow you to check or uncheck the checkbox.
Once you’re done updating your orders’ data, you need to click on Save to apply the changes.
Here we have only shown two examples, but each field works according to the field type.
Advanced search for WooCommerce orders
WP Sheet Editor – WooCommerce Orders contains an advanced Search tool that allows you to use any field of the orders as a search filter.
You can search for orders by status, product, location (country, city or billing or shipping status), billing or shipping email, order total, payment gateway, etc.
Let’s see some search examples:
a) Search by order status
Want to search for pending or processing orders? Want to know how many of your orders have been completed?
You can select these values to search for orders by status:
- Tick the Enable advanced filters checkbox and select these values:
- Field: Status
- Operator: =
- Value: Select the status here.
- Click on Run search.
Once you run the search, you’ll see all the orders containing the selected status displayed in the spreadsheet. In this example, we have searched for all the completed orders.
b) Search orders containing specific products
If you need to know which WooCommerce orders have specific products, you can select these values in the Search tool:
- Find orders containing these products: You can select any of these options:
- It must contain all the products selected
- It must contain at least one product selected
- Enter the product/s you want to search for on your orders
- Click on Run search.
Once you run the search, all the orders displayed in the spreadsheet will contain the selected products.
c) Search for orders by location (billing or shipping country, state, city)
Searching for WooCommerce orders by billing or shipping country, state, or city can greatly improve your store management.
Whether you need to optimize shipping logistics, analyze sales trends, ensure tax compliance, or create targeted marketing campaigns, knowing where your orders are coming from is crucial.
You need to select these values in order to search for orders by billing or shipping country, state or city:
- Tick the Enable advanced filters checkbox and select these values:
- Field: Here you need to select the field you need (billing or shipping country, state, city)
- Operator: =
- Value: Select the country, state or city here.
- Click on Run search.
Once you run the search, you’ll see all the orders matching the search filters displayed in the spreadsheet. In this example, we have searched for all the orders with billing country = United States.
d) Search for orders by billing or shipping email
To search for your WooCommerce orders by billing or shipping email, you need to select these values in the Search tool:
- Tick the Enable advanced filters checkbox and select these values:
- Field: Here you need to select the field you need (billing email or shipping email)
- Operator: =
- Value: Add the email address here.
- Click on Run search.
After running the search, you’ll see all the orders placed using the selected billing or shipping email displayed in the spreadsheet.
e) Search for orders by order total
To search for your WooCommerce orders by order total, you need to select the following values in the Search tool:
- Tick the Enable advanced filters checkbox and select these values:
- Field: Order total
- Operator: You can select any operator here. But since we want to search for orders whose total is $50 or higher, we will select >=.
- Value: Enter the value here.
- Click on Run search.
Now you’ll see all the orders matching the search terms displayed in the spreadsheet.
f) Search for orders by payment method
If you want to search for your WooCommerce orders by payment gateway, you need to select the following values in the search tool:
- Tick the Enable advanced filters checkbox and select these values:
- Field: Payment Method
- Operator: =
- Value: Select the payment method here.
- Click on Run search.
As you can see, we have searched for our WooCommerce products whose payment method is “Cash on delivery”.
Bulk edit lots of orders at once
If you want to edit hundreds or thousands of WooCommerce orders at once, you can do it using the Bulk Edit tool. This tool allows you to make several types of changes to your WooCommerce orders. Here are some examples:
- Update order status in bulk: Change the status of multiple orders (e.g., from “Processing” to “Completed”).
- Modify shipping information in bulk: Update shipping addresses or shipping methods for multiple orders.
- Bulk edit billing details: Correct or update billing addresses and contact information.
- Bulk delete orders: Remove multiple unwanted or test orders at once.
- And a lot more!
In this example, we want to show you how to bulk update order status on all our filtered orders. To do this, we need to select the following values:
- Select the rows that you want to update: Edit all the rows from my current search
- What field do you want to edit: Status
- Select type of edit: Set value
- Replace existing value with this value: Select the value you want to set.
- Click on Execute Now.
Important: The fields you can edit and the type of changes you can apply to each field will depend on the type of field and whether the database accepts updates. There are fields that cannot be edited, but that depends on WooCommerce.
Bulk edit WooCommerce orders offline (export and import with CSV)
If you want to bulk manage WooCommerce orders offline, you can export your WooCommerce orders data to a CSV file. This way, you can securely backup your data, analyze sales trends, and generate customized reports using any spreadsheet software like Excel, Google Sheets, or any other CSV editor.
Open the Export tool.
Now select these values in order to export your WooCommerce orders to a CSV file:
- Which rows do you want to export: You can export all the orders, all the orders from a specific search, or all the orders you’ve manually selected in the spreadsheet.
- What app will you use to edit this file: You can select any of these options:
- Microsoft Excel (Office 365)
- Older versions of Microsoft Excel
- Google Sheets
- Other
- Name of this export: You can add a name for this export in this field. Then, when you hover over the Export tool, you’ll be able to reuse this export.
- Click on Start new export.
As you can see, we have exported our WooCommerce orders data to a CSV file.
Now you can bulk edit your WooCommerce orders offline, and after making all the changes, you can import the changes back to WordPress.
You need to open the Import tool.
Now you need to select which CSV file you want to upload:
- Source: CSV file from my computer
- Click on Choose File and select the CSV file from your computer.
- Click on Next.
Now you need to match the columns in order to import the data. Once you’re done matching the columns, click on Next.
Next, you need to select how you want to import the data:
- Do you want to update or create items: In this example, we will select the “Update existing items, ignore new items” option.
- We will match the data using the record_id and ID field.
- Click on Next.
Finally, you’ll see a preview. If everything is OK, click on The preview is fine, start import.
Frequently asked questions on bulk editing WooCommerce products
Here are some important questions:
When importing orders data, will all the data be overwritten?
No. If you’re importing changes into WooCommerce, only the fields you edited will be updated, and the fields you didn’t edit in the CSV file will remain without changes.
Is this plugin compatible with custom fields?
Yes. WP Sheet Editor allows you to manage custom fields added by third-party plugins as columns in the spreadsheet, just as with any other field.
Can I bulk create WooCommerce orders with WP Sheet Editor?
