WooCommerce – How to Export Cost of Goods and Prices to CSV

In a previous post, we showed you how to bulk edit the cost of goods of hundreds of products in a spreadsheet. Here, we’ll show you how to export the cost of goods and product prices to a CSV file.

This can be really useful if you have to give a quick report of the rentability of your products. You don’t need all your products’ information, just the product prices and the cost of goods information to compare them and get be able to calculate the profit and revenue of your products.

We’ll show you how to quickly do it using the WooCommerce Products Spreadsheet plugin. It allows you to bulk edit any field for thousands of products with a few clicks. You can forget about spending hours editing products individually. You can edit them all at once if you want.

You can also export and import products using CSV files edited with Excel, Google Sheets, or any other spreadsheets editor.

Once you install and activate the plugin, you need to follow these simple steps to export the cost of goods and product prices to a CSV file.

Step 1. Open the products spreadsheet

With WP Sheet Editor, you don’t have to use the normal product editor. You can view and edit all your WooCommerce products using an intuitive spreadsheet inside WordPress.

You can open the spreadsheet by going to WP Sheet Editor > Edit Products. You’ll see all your products displayed as rows and their complete information displayed in columns.

Step 2. Open the “Export” tool

This plugin contains an easy-to-use export tool that you can use to download your products’ information to a CSV file. You can open the export tool by clicking Export on the top toolbar.

Step 3. Export the cost of goods and prices to a CSV file

To export the cost of goods and product prices to a CSV file, you need to select these values in the Export tool:

  • What columns do you want to export: Select the Name, Regular Price, and Wc Cog Cost columns to export.
  • I understand it will export all the rows from my current search: Yes
  • What app will you use to edit this file? (optional): Select any of the available apps.
  • Name of this export (optional): You can save this export to download the same information in the future with one click.
  • Click Start new export.

Once you apply these values in the Export tool, the CSV file containing the selected information will be downloaded to your computer.

This is how the information will look in Microsoft Excel, for example.

That’s really simple!

As you can see, downloading your cost of goods and product prices is really simple with the WooCommerce Products Spreadsheet plugin. You can easily export this and any other information of your products to a CSV file and edit that file with any of the spreadsheet editors out there.
