If you hide a column following the methods described in this other tutorial, the values will not disappear from the database, they will just not show on the spreadsheet editor. This means that it is safe to hide any column that you don’t want to see.
However, there is one way to eliminate a field from the database completely and remove the column, which is to right-click on the column and hit “delete key”. This is a very dangerous operation and it can’t be undone. 99% of the time this will not be necessary and we advise you only use this option if you are sure of what you’re doing and you have a backup.
