You can open it with one click on the top toolbar.
What’s in the Columns manager?
The Columns manager will show you two column groups. The Enabled columns are displayed in the spreadsheet, and the Disabled columns are not.
In the screenshot below, we have listed some elements from the Columns manager to show you what each of them means.
- You can click this item and rename each column.
- The → and ← arrows allow you to move columns from the Enabled to the Disabled side, and vice-versa.
- You can use the Bulk button to search and edit several columns at once.
- The x allows you to completely remove columns, not just disable them.
How to bulk edit column in the Columns manager
The Bulk button allows you to:
- Enable all
- Disable all
- Delete all
- Sort alphabetically ASC
- Sort alphabetically DESC
How to change column/field format
The Edit column item allows you to manage column formats. These are the formats you can assign to the columns:
- Text
- Text editor
- Single selection dropdown
- Multi select dropdown
- Checkbox
- File upload
- Date
- User dropdown
- Post dropdown
- Taxonomy term dropdown
- Currency
With the Save these settings for future sessions, you can keep these configurations to load the same columns in the same order in future sessions.
Add a name for this group of columns: This is useful if you’re creating different groups of columns. For example, you can grant your users access to specific columns when doing SEO, when changing pictures and galleries, etc.
This is how easy you can use the Columns manager from WP Sheet Editor. You can find it on all the spreadsheets, save preferences, hide columns, change column format and more.
