We need to install and activate two things:
First, we will use the WP Sheet Editor – Post Types plugin.
It allows you to view and manage posts, pages and custom post types, using an intuitive spreadsheet on the WordPress admin dashboard.
In this case, it will allow you to view and manage any post type that you’ve created with the Custom Post Type UI plugin.
You can download the plugin here:

Second, we will use the Google Sheet Sync service, provided by wpsheeteditor.com. It allows you to export and import your WordPress content with Google Sheets.
You can sign up to the service here:

Once you have installed both plugins, you need to follow the steps below to import Custom Post Type UI content from a Google Sheets file.
1- Prepare the Google Sheets file you will import
You need to prepare the Google Sheets file you want to import, but there are some things you need to take into account:
- To protect your privacy, our Google Sheets Sync service doesn’t read files that have not been created with the service itself.
- In other words, the service doesn’t recognize files that were not first exported from WordPress to Google Sheets using the service.
- This means that we don’t have any access to other files on your Google account; not even to other Google Sheets files.
- To import a Google Sheets file, you’ll need to first export the info.
- Once you’ve exported it, you can edit existing data or create new data in Google Sheets.
Here’s a tutorial on how to export from Custom Post Type UI to Google Sheets.

You can Import all the columns or Select individual columns to import.

5- Select how you want to import the custom post type data
In this example, we will create new items and update existing items. However, you could import all the rows as new, only update, or only create items.
Note. If you update existing items, you can match the information by using a specific field as an identifier. In this case, we will use the ID field.
Once you’ve selected how you want to import the data, click on Next.
Finally, you’ll see a preview of what the import will look like once it’s imported. You can click on The preview is fine, start import.
