LearnPress – Bulk Edit Max Number of Students

Learn how to bulk edit max number of students on LearnPress courses.

Imagine you have created a very successful social media marketing campaign and your LearnPress courses reached the right audience. The 250 spaces you had available for students in your courses will be insufficient, and you want to double the number of students who can register for your courses.

The problem is that if you do this manually, it will take a very long time to edit all of your courses. That’s why, in this post, we show you how to edit the max number of students for your LearnPress courses with a few clicks.

We will do this quickly using the WP Sheet Editor plugin.

This extension adds full compatibility between WP Sheet Editor and LearnPress.

Once installed and activated, follow these simple steps to bulk edit course max number of students.

1- Set up the LearnPress courses spreadsheet

• Go to WP Sheet Editor > Setup Spreadsheet.
• Select the Courses post type.
• Click Save to go on.

Select the columns to display in the spreadsheet.

• In Enabled, you’ll see all the columns to be displayed in the spreadsheet.
• In Disabled, you’ll see the columns that will be hidden in the spreadsheet.
• Scroll down and click Save to generate the spreadsheet.

You’ll see the spreadsheet containing all your LearnPress courses. Each row is a course and each column is a field.

2- Search for the LearnPress courses you’ll edit

In this example, we’ll search for all the courses whose max students number is 250 and then in Step 3 we’ll duplicate that number, so the new number will be 500.

The first thing to do is open the Search tool with one click on the toolbar.

Once we open the Search tool, we need to select these values in order to search for all the courses whose max students number is 250.

• Tick the Enable advanced filters checkbox.
• Field: Max Student (lp_max_students)
• Operator: =
• Value: 20
• Click Run Search.

These values will filter the courses with a max students number of 250 and filter them in the spreadsheet.

3- Bulk edit course max students number

After filtering all the courses whose max number of students is 250, we need to open the Bulk Edit tool with one click.

After opening the Bulk Edit tool, we need to select these values in order to bulk edit the number of students who can enroll in the selected courses.

• Select the rows that you want to update: Edit all the rows from my current search (including non-visible rows)
• What field do you want to edit: Max Student
• Select type of edit: Set value
• Replace existing value with this value: 500. Enter the number of students who can enroll in the selected courses.
• Click Execute Now.

After applying these values, the plugin will update the information, and you’ll see that now the max number of students for all the edited courses will be 500.

Now you don’t have to worry about having to make changes quickly to hundreds of LearnPress courses. With WP Sheet Editor, you can quickly edit them without having to open them one by one.

This increases your productivity by a very high percentage, but you should know that this is not the only change you can make. In fact, you can edit any field in your LearnPress courses with WP Sheet Editor.
