WooCommerce – Remove Thousands of Duplicate Products in Seconds

It’s very common to import products from excel or a CSV file, but it’s easy to make mistakes and you can end up with thousands of duplicate products.

Now that’s a problem if you don’t have any plugin to help you with that. That’s why in this article we’ll show you how to delete duplicate products with same title in seconds using the WP Sheet Editor plugin.

When you open the plugin, you’ll see a spreadsheet with all your products and their complete information.

To delete all your duplicate products, you need to open the “Bulk Edit” tool.

Once you open the tool, just set these values:

  • Check the “I understand it will update the posts from my search” checkbox.
  • Select “Title” as the column you’ll edit. It will delete products with the same title
  • Select “Delete duplicates” as the type of edit you’ll apply.
  • Hit the “Execute now” button.
  • Done! Now all your duplicate products will be deleted.

With WP Sheet Editor it’s really easy to delete duplicate products containing a keyword. For that, you need to take some simple steps.

So the first step you need to take is to open the “Bulk Edit” tool. This tool will help you apply changes to thousands of products at once; in this case, you’ll delete them from your WooCommerce store.

Once you open the Bulk Edit tool, you need to hit the “Select rows”, which will help you filter your products by keyword.

Now the only things you need to do is to enter the product keyword in the “Contains keyword” field and then hit the “Run search” button.

Once you’re back in the Bulk Edit tool, you need to set these values to delete your duplicate products:

  • Check the “I understand it will update the posts from my search” checkbox.
  • Select “Title” as the column you’ll edit.
  • Select “Delete duplicates” as the type of edit you’ll apply.
  • Hit the “Execute now” button.
  • Done! Now all your duplicate products containing a keyword will be deleted.

If you want to delete all your duplicate products by category, attribute, or tag, you simply need to open the “Bulk Edit” tool by clicking it on the toolbar.

After opening the tool, you need to open the “Select rows” button, which will open a search tool to filter your products.

Once there, you need to enter the product category, attribute or tag in the “Enter Product category…” field.

It’s important to notice that this field allows you to search for your products in those three ways.

After that, just hit the “Run search” button.

Once back in the Bulk Edit tool, set these values to delete your duplicate products:

  • Check the “I understand it will update the posts from my search” checkbox.
  • Select “Title” as the column you’ll edit.
  • Select “Delete duplicates” as the type of edit you’ll apply.
  • Hit the “Execute now” button.
  • Done! Now all your duplicate products containing a category, attribute or tag will be deleted.

If you want to delete all your duplicate downloadable products, you need to open the “Bulk Edit” tool, which allows you to apply changes to thousands of products at once.

Then, you need to hit the “Select rows” button, which will open a search tool for you to filter your products.

After that, you need to check the “Enable advanced filters” checkbox and set these values to look for your downloadable products:

  • Select “_downloadable” in the “Field key”.
  • Select “=” in “Operator”.
  • Check the “Value” checkbox.
  • Hit the “Run search” button, which will take you back to the Bulk Edit tool.

Once back in the bulk edit tool, set these values to delete your duplicate downloadable products:

  • Check the “I understand it will update the posts from my search” checkbox.
  • Select “Title” as the column you’ll edit.
  • Select “Delete duplicates” as the type of edit you’ll apply.
  • Hit the “Execute now” button.
  • Done! Now all your duplicate downloadable products will be deleted.

Easy!
