In this tutorial, we will show you how to recalculate taxes for hundreds of WooCommerce orders at the same time.
This is very useful when you have orders that have not yet been charged and shipped and your country suddenly changes the taxes (e.g. tax % increase). In this case, you need to edit the taxes in WooCommerce settings. However, WooCommerce does not update orders with “processing” status.
Normally, you would have to edit each order manually to recalculate the taxes one by one. However, here we will show you how to bulk recalculate the totals on orders that are pending payment.
We’ll do it using the WP Sheet Editor – WooCommerce Orders plugin, which allows you to view and manage your WooCommerce orders using an intuitive spreadsheet.
You can easily do advanced searches and apply bulk edits with a few clicks. Besides, you can easily export your orders to Excel or Google Sheets, and import your orders to add new or update existing orders.

Once you install and activate the plugin, follow this guide to set it up on your WordPress site.
1- Open the WooCommerce orders spreadsheet
When you set up the orders spreadsheet, it will open automatically.
If not, go to WP Sheet Editor > Edit Orders. You’ll see your orders displayed in a spreadsheet like this:
2- Search for all the pending payment orders
You can filter all your WooCommerce orders to find exactly the ones you will edit. In this case, you need to find all the pending payment orders to recalculate taxes for all of them at once.
Open the Search tool with one click.
Once you open the Search tool, you need to select the following values to filter all the pending payment orders:
- Tick the Enable advanced filters checkbox
- Field: Status
- Operator: =
- Value: Pending payment
- Hit Run search to filter your orders.
Once you apply the search terms, all the pending payment orders will be displayed on the spreadsheet.
3- Recalculate taxes for all the filtered orders
Now you just need to hover the mouse over the “Bulk Edit” tool and you will see several options, from which you should select the “Recalculate taxes” option.
This will open the bulk edit tool, where you just need to hit Execute now to recalculate taxes for all the pending payment WooCommerce orders.
This way, the taxes of all pending orders will be recalculated and the totals will be updated automatically. You do not have to recalculate taxes manually, but can do this automatically with a few clicks.
This is certainly the easiest way to recalculate taxes for hundreds of WooCommerce orders.
