LearnDash – How to Bulk Edit Courses Access Mode

Important: We assume you’re already using the LearnDash LMS plugin.

Install WP Sheet Editor – Courses

Once you’ve completed the payment process, follow these steps to install and activate the plugin:

1. Go to Plugins > Add New Plugin.
2. Click on Upload plugin.
3. Click on Choose file.
4. Locate the file on your computer.
5. Click on Install now.
6. Click on Activate plugin.
7. Enter your license and click on Activate License.

Open the Courses spreadsheet

To begin editing, open the spreadsheet for the LearnDash courses by going to WP Sheet Editor > Edit Courses.

How to edit Courses using the spreadsheet

Once you’re in the spreadsheet, you can start editing access mode using the cells. You just need to locate the Access Mode column in the spreadsheet.

To edit the access mode of your LearnDash courses, you need to use the dropdown to select any of these access modes:

• Open
• Free
• Buy Now
• Recurring
• Closed

You can even autofill cells below as you would do in Excel, Google Sheets or any other CSV editor.

Once you’ve finished your edits, click on Save to apply the changes.

How to bulk edit LearnDash course access mode

The Bulk Edit tool in WP Sheet Editor – Courses allows you to modify multiple courses at once, whether you’re editing hundreds or even thousands of courses.

In this example, we will show you how to search for all the courses whose access mode is FREE, and we will edit them all at once.

First, we need to open the Search tool. It allows you to search for courses by:

• Category
• Tag
• Access Mode
• Price
• Status
• Etc.

Now you need to select these values in the Search tool:

• Tick the Enable advanced filters checkbox.
• Field: Access Mode
• Operator: =
• Value: Free
• Click on Run search.

After running the search, you will see all the courses matching the search filters displayed in the spreadsheet. You’ll see the active filters above the courses.

Now you need to open the Bulk Edit tool.

After selecting the courses to edit, open the Bulk Edit tool and configure the following settings:

• Select the rows that you want to update: Edit all the rows from my current search.
• What field do you want to edit: Choose the Access Mode field.
• Select type of edit: Set value
• Replace existing value with this value: Buy Now, for example, or any other access mode you want to select.
• Click on Execute Now to apply the changes.
