LearnPress – Bulk Edit Passing Grade Quickly

There are certain cases where you need to edit the passing grade of all your LearnPress courses, and it would be nice to be able to do it all at once, right?.

For example, imagine that your LearnPress courses are going well, students are enthusiastic and actively participating every week. However, you’ve received an email saying that the course passing grade is too high, and they need you to lower the grade they need to pass.

Normally, you would have to edit each course individually, which is a task that seems rather tedious and tiresome. Fortunately, we have a solution.

In this post, we show you how to edit the passing grade of hundreds of courses quickly. We will change the approval grade from 80 to 60 on hundreds of courses with a few clicks.

We’ll do it using WP Sheet Editor plugin.

Use an intuitive spreadsheet inside WordPress to:

• Do advanced searches of your posts, pages or custom post types quickly

This extension adds full compatibility between WP Sheet Editor and LearnPress.

Once you install and activate WP Sheet Editor, follow these simple steps to bulk edit the passing grade for hundreds of courses.

1- Set up the LearnPress courses spreadsheet

• Go to WP Sheet Editor > Setup Spreadsheet.
• Select the Courses post type.
• Click Save to go on.

Select the columns to display in the spreadsheet.

• In Enabled, you’ll see all the columns to be displayed in the spreadsheet.
• In Disabled, you’ll see the columns that will be hidden in the spreadsheet.
• Scroll down and click Save to generate the spreadsheet.

You’ll see the spreadsheet containing all your LearnPress courses. Each row is a course and each column is a field.

2- Edit passing grade for LearnPress courses individually

3- Search for all the LearnPress courses you’ll edit

In this example, we’ll search for all the courses whose passing grade is 80 points. We’ll do this using the Search tool, which allows us to filter the courses using any field as a search parameter.

Click Search on the toolbar.

Once you open the Search tool, select the following values to search for all the courses whose passing grade is 80 points.

• Tick the Enable advanced filters checkbox.
• Field: Passing Grade(%)
• Operator: =
• Value: 80
• Click Run Search.

Once these search filters have been applied, all the courses whose passing grade is 80 points will be displayed in the spreadsheet.

Now you’re ready to edit the passing grade of all the selected courses.

4- Bulk edit passing grade for LearnPress courses

To set a new passing grade for all the filtered courses, start by opening the Bulk Edit tool with one click. It’s on the toolbar.

Once you open the Bulk Edit tool, select the following values to set a new passing grade for all the selected courses.

• Select the rows that you want to update: Edit all the rows from my current search (including non-visible rows)
• What field do you want to edit: Passing Grade(%)
• Select type of edit: Set value
• Replace existing value with this value: 60. Here you need to enter the minimum number of points the students must get in order to pass the course.
• Click Execute Now.

Once you apply these values, the plugin will update the information in all the selected courses and the passing grade will be changed.
