In this tutorial, we will show you how to filter WooCommerce products by featured status using a spreadsheet inside the WordPress dashboard, without writing any PHP or custom code.
By default, WooCommerce does not include a way to filter products by their featured status directly from the product list. There is no built-in filter for it in the admin interface, which makes it difficult to quickly review which products are currently featured or identify products that have never been marked as featured.
To work around this, we’ll use the WP Sheet Editor – WooCommerce Products plugin. It adds a spreadsheet view to your WordPress dashboard where you can filter products using any product field as a search parameter, including the Is featured field and the Product visibility field. No coding knowledge is required.
The plugin also lets you:
- Edit all product types in a spreadsheet, including variable products and variations
- Edit all product fields, including custom fields added by other plugins
- Apply changes to hundreds or thousands of products at once using the Bulk Edit tool
- Filter and sort products using any field as a search filter
- Import and export products using CSV files

Once you have the plugin installed and activated, follow the steps below to find all featured products or to search for products that are not featured.
Step 1. Open the WooCommerce Products Spreadsheet
Go to WP Sheet Editor > Edit Products in your WordPress dashboard to open the products spreadsheet.
All your WooCommerce products will be displayed in the spreadsheet. Every row represents a product and every column represents a product field.
Two columns are relevant to featured status in this view. The Featured column shows a checkbox indicating whether a product is currently marked as featured. The Product visibility column also reflects featured status as part of the product’s overall visibility settings.
Step 2. Filter Products by Featured Status
Click Search on the top toolbar to open the Search tool.
To filter for featured products, configure the following settings inside the Search tool:
- Tick the Enable advanced filters checkbox.
- In Field, select Is featured.
- In Operator, select =.
- In Value, tick the checkbox to search for products where featured is enabled.
- Click Run search.
Note: To find products that are not featured, leave the Value checkbox empty. The search will return all products where the featured flag is not set.
After clicking Run search, the spreadsheet will reload and display only the products that match your filter. The active search filters will be shown above the spreadsheet so you can confirm which conditions are applied.
Scroll right in the spreadsheet to locate the Featured column and confirm that the values match your search criteria.
What You Can Do After Filtering
Once you have filtered your products by featured status, the results loaded in the spreadsheet become the working set for any follow-up action. From here you can:
- Open the Bulk Edit tool to mark or unmark the featured status on all filtered products at once
- Open the Export tool to download the filtered list as a CSV file for reporting
- Edit the Featured column directly in the spreadsheet for individual adjustments
The Is featured field is just one of many fields available as a search parameter. You can combine it with other conditions (such as category, stock status, or price range) to build more specific searches across your product catalog.
As you have seen in this tutorial, filtering WooCommerce products by featured status is a two-step process with WP Sheet Editor – WooCommerce Products: open the products spreadsheet, then use the Search tool with the Is featured field and the advanced filters to find featured or non-featured products. The results load directly into the spreadsheet where you can review, edit, or export them.
