How to export Easy Digital Downloads to Google Sheets
First, let’s see how to export Easy Digital Downloads data from WordPress to Google Sheets.
Exporting EDD downloads from WordPress to Google Sheets directly is a convenient way to create a backup of your Easy Digital Downloads or Easy Digital Downloads product data. It can also be useful if you want to ask someone in your team to apply price changes or any other data from Google Sheets, without having to give them access to the WordPress site.
You need to start by opening the Export tool.
Now you need to select these values to export your products’ data to Google Sheets:
- Select the columns you want to export. You can select specific columns by typing the name, select all the active columns (all the columns that are visible in the spreadsheet), or all the columns (including both visible and hidden columns).
- Select the rows you want to export. You can export all your EDD downloads, all the EDD downloads from a specific search, or all the downloads you have manually selected.
- Select the Google Sheets app.
- Add a name for this export, and the Google Sheet will inherit that name.
- Click on Start new export.
Optional – Update an existing Google Sheet
If you have previously exported your EDD downloads to Google Sheets, you can select a previously exported Google Sheet to add the data to instead of creating a new Google Sheet.
You just have to tick the Advanced Google Sheets options and choose the Google Sheet in Select an existing Google Sheet below.
After the export is completed, you will see the View Google Sheet link to open the Google Sheet that has been created on your Google account. You can click on that link to view your Easy Digital Downloads on Google Sheets.

In this example, we will Create new items and update existing items.
Since we will update existing items, we need to match the rows in the Google Sheet with the rows in WordPress. For this, we will use the ID column.
