How do you do it if you have five hundred products within the Fashion category? How do you delete galleries to all the Shoes or to all the blue small jeans? You can do it one by one, but it will take you many hours or even days.
In this article we’ll show you how you can delete galleries to many products at once by filtering by category, keyword, or attribute.
Install the Sheet Editor Plugin

Open the Sheet Editor Plugin
Once you open the plugin, you’ll see a spreadsheet with all your products and all their details.
1- Delete galleries from all products within a category
The first way we want to show you is to delete galleries to all the products within a specific category.
The first step you need to take is to open the Bulk Edit tool. It’s located on the plugin’s toolbar, so just click on it.
After that, open the search tool by selecting the I want to search rows to update option in the Select the rows that you want to update.
Now, you need to write the category name in the Enter Tags field and click on Run search.
Set these values to delete the categories from the products filtered.
- Select the rows that you want to update: I want to search rows to update
- What field do you want to edit: Gallery
- Select the type of edit: Clear value
- Click on Execute now.
2- Delete galleries to all products containing a keyword
You can also delete galleries to all products containing a specific keyword.
The first step you need to take is to open the Bulk Edit tool. It’s located on the plugin’s toolbar, so just click on it.
After that, open the search tool by selecting the I want to search rows to update option in the Select the rows that you want to update.
Now, you need to write the product keyword in the Contains keyword field and click on Run search.
Set these values to delete the categories from the products filtered.
- Select the rows that you want to update: I want to search rows to update
- What field do you want to edit: Gallery
- Select the type of edit: Clear value
- Click on Execute now.
3- Delete product galleries from Variations by Color, Size, etc.
The first step you need to take is to open the Bulk Edit tool. It’s located on the plugin’s toolbar, so just click on it.
After that, open the search tool by selecting the I want to search rows to update option in the Select the rows that you want to update.
In the Search tool, you need to tick the Search on variations checkbox. Then, you’ll have these options to filter your variations:
- Contains keyword
- Status: Draft, Pending review, Private, Published, Trash, Scheduled.
- Enter tags: Categories, Attributes, Tags, Shipping Class.
Set these values to delete the categories from the products filtered.
- Select the rows that you want to update: I want to search rows to update
- What field do you want to edit: Gallery
- Select the type of edit: Clear value
- Click on Execute now.
