WooCommerce – How to Delete Product Reviews in Bulk

In this tutorial, we will show you how to bulk delete WooCommerce product reviews.

Removing thousands of product reviews at once can help you save many hours of work. For example, you may want to remove 10 thousand product reviews, but unfortunately, that’s now possible in WooCommerce because, first, you can’t select 10,000 reviews to delete, and second, your server could get errors if you try to delete too many reviews at once.

That’s why we want to show you how to delete all product reviews using the Comments and Reviews Spreadsheet plugin.

This post comments and product reviews bulk editor allows you to:

• Bulk edit thousands of comments from WordPress, WooCommerce, and any other plugin
• Do advanced searches to filter comments by keyword, status, post type, comment type, etc.
• Import reviews or comments using a CSV file
• Export reviews or comments to Excel or Google Sheets

After installing the plugin and activating your license, you need to follow the steps in the sections below in order to bulk delete product reviews.

1- Set up a spreadsheet for product reviews

Note – If you already set up the spreadsheet, skip this section and go to WP Sheet Editor > Edit comments.

Since our plugin uses the WordPress commenting system, which includes comments, reviews, order notes, etc., we are going to generate a sheet that shows us all types of comments.

However, a great advantage of WP Sheet Editor is that it allows you to filter product reviews easily.

To generate the spreadsheet:

1. Go to WP Sheet Editor > Setup spreadsheet.
2. Select “Comments”.
3. Click on “Save”.

You can use the Columns manager to enable or disable specific columns on the spreadsheet.

Once you’re done, click on “Save“.

And after you set up the spreadsheet, you’ll see all your comments, reviews, order notes and other comment types displayed on the spreadsheet.

2- Search for WooCommerce product reviews

The Search tool allows you to filter the WooCommerce product reviews in order to remove them in bulk.

In the subsections below, we will show you how to filter:

• All product reviews
• Product reviews by author email
• Product reviews by product ID

Search option 1 – Filter all product reviews

If you want to bulk remove all product reviews, you can start by searching for all product reviews.

To filter all product reviews, select these fields in the Search tool:

• Post type: Product
• Comment type: Reviews
• Click on Run search.

As you can see below, we have filtered all product reviews, and they’re displayed on the spreadsheet.

Note – You can go to section 3 to bulk delete all the filtered product reviews.

Search option 2 – Filter product reviews by author email

If you want to remove all product reviews created by a specific person, you can use the user email as a search filter.

Just select these values in the search tool:

• Product type: Products
• Comment type: Reviews
• Tick the Enable advanced filters checkbox
• Field: Author email
• Operator: =
• Value: Enter the author email you want to filter.
• Click on Run search.

Now we’ve filtered our product reviews by author’s email, and they’re displayed on the spreadsheet.

Note – You can go to section 3 to bulk delete all the filtered product reviews.

Search option 3 – Filter product reviews by product ID

If you want to delete all product reviews for a specific product, you can search for product reviews by product ID.

Just select these values in the search tool:

• Product type: Products
• Comment type: Reviews
• Tick the Enable advanced filters checkbox
• Field: Post ID
• Operator: =
• Value: Enter the ID of the product you want to filter.
• Click on Run search.

As you can see below, we’ve filtered all product reviews by product ID, and they’re displayed on the spreadsheet.

3- Bulk delete product reviews

Whichever search option you used, here’s how you can remove product reviews using the “Bulk Edit” tool.

You need to select these values to delete all your selected product reviews in bulk:

• Select the rows that you want to update: Edit all the rows from my current search
• What field do you want to edit: Status
• Select the type of edit: Set values
• Replace existing value with this value: Delete completely
• Click on Execute Now.
