In a previous tutorial, we showed you how to bulk add order notes. In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to bulk delete order notes from all your WooCommerce orders.
You’ll be able to search for all orders containing specific keywords in order notes and edit all the search results. Optionally, you’ll be able to remove the orders from all orders at once with a few clicks.
We’ll use the WP Sheet Editor – WooCommerce Orders plugin, which allows you to view and manage all orders using an intuitive spreadsheet inside WordPress. You can do advanced searches using any field as a search parameter, export orders to a CSV file to send reports to your clients or shipping departments, and bulk edit thousands of orders with a few clicks.

The first option is to filter your WooCommerce orders and remove the order notes from all the search results.
The Search tool includes a field that allows you to find all the order notes containing specific keywords in the order notes.
Hit Search on the plugin’s toolbar.
Now you need to use the following values to find all the orders containing a specific keyword in the order notes.
- Order notes: Enter the keywords the orders must contain in the Order notes field.
- Optional – Order notes don’t contain these keywords: In this field, you can include keywords to exclude. This way you can narrow down the search results to find and edit only the orders you want.
- Hit Run search.
As you see here, we’ve found all the orders containing the “delayed” keyword.
Now you need to hit the Enable editing button on the top toolbar.
Then, open the Bulk Edit tool, which allows you to apply bulk changes to hundreds of WooCommerce orders with a few clicks.
Once you’re in the Bulk Edit tool, you need to select the following values to bulk delete the order notes from all the filtered orders:
- Select the rows that you want to update: Edit all the rows from my current search (including non-visible rows)
- What field do you want to edit: Order notes
- Select type of edit: Clear value
- Hit Execute to bulk remove the order notes from all the filtered orders.
