WooCommerce – How to Bulk Edit Price Based on Country

In a previous post, we showed you how to quickly import and export country prices. Here, we show you how to bulk edit prices based on country for WooCommerce.

We have created two pricing zones with the plugin Price Based on the Country for WooCommerce. One pricing zone for Central America and one for North America.

If we want to edit the prices per pricing zone in hundreds of products, we would normally have to open each of the products and edit them manually. However, in this post, you will see how to use the country price fields as search filters and how to edit hundreds of products at once using an intuitive spreadsheet.

• Search for products by keyword, category, tag, attribute, price, date, etc.

Once you install and activate WooCommerce Products Spreadsheet, follow the steps in this tutorial to bulk edit prices based on country.

1- Open the products spreadsheet

Go to WP Sheet Editor > Edit Products.

You’ll see the spreadsheet containing all the WooCommerce products with their complete information. Each row is a product and each column is a field.

If you scroll to the right in the spreadsheet, you will see that it displays the fields added by Prices Based on Country for WooCommerce.

These are the fields that the spreadsheet shows for every pricing zone:

• {Pricing Zone Title} Price
• {Pricing Zone Title} Price Method
• {Pricing Zone Title} Regular Price
• {Pricing Zone Title} Sale Price
• {Pricing Zone Title} Sale Price Dates
• {Pricing Zone Title} Sale Price Dates From
• {Pricing Zone Title} Sale Price Dates To

2- Select all the products you want to edit

The Search tool allows you to search for products by keyword, attribute, category, price, date, etc. Also, you can use the fields created by Price Based on Country for WooCommerce as search fields.

Click Search on the toolbar to open the tool.

In these drop-down sections, we show you how to filter the products using the country price fields as search filters.

a) How to search for products by country regular price

We’ll use the Central America pricing zone for this example. We’ll search for all the products whose price is equal to or greater than 150.

• Tick the Enable advanced filters checkbox.
• Field: Central America Regular Price
• Operator: >=
• Value: 150
• Click Run Search.

Now you’ll see all the products whose Central America regular price is equal to or greater than 150.

b) How to search for products by country price method

In this example, we’ll search for all the products with the manual price method enabled. For that, select these values in the Search field.

• Tick the Enable advanced filters checkbox.
• Field: Central America Price Method
• Operator: =
• Value: Manual
• Click Run Search.

After applying these search filters, you’ll see all the products with the manual price method enabled.

c) How to search for products by country sale price date

Let’s search for all the products whose sale price starts on May 1st, 2020. Let’s select these values:

Tick the Enable advanced filters checkbox.

• Field: Central America Sale Price Date From
• Operator: =
• Value: 05/01/2020
• Click Run Search.

After applying these search filters, you’ll see all the products whose sale price for Central America starts on May 1st, 2020.

3- Open the Bulk Edit tool to edit country prices

Whatever search option you use, you can now proceed to bulk edit the fields from Price Based on Country for WooCommerce.

The Bulk Edit tool allows you to edit hundreds of products at once. You can edit any field and the information will be updated in the spreadsheet.

After filtering the products you’ll edit, click Bulk Edit to open the tool and proceed to bulk edit the selected products.

4- Bulk edit country price based on country

In the following drop-down sections, we show you some of the changes you can apply to the country prices for all the products you’ve selected.

a) How to bulk edit country price method

These are the values we need to select in the Bulk Edit tool in order to change the price method for all the selected products.

• Select the rows that you want to update: Edit all the rows from my current search
• What field do you want to edit: Central America Price Method
• Select type of edit: Set value
• Replace existing value with this value: Here you can enter exchange_rate or manual.
• Click Execute Now.

b) How to bulk edit country sale price

If you want to change the country sale price for all the selected products, you can do it quickly using these values in the Bulk Edit tool.

• Select the rows that you want to update: Edit all the rows from my current search
• What field do you want to edit: North America Sale Price, for example.
• Select type of edit: Set value
• Replace existing value with this value: 200, for example.
• Click Execute Now.

c) How to bulk edit country sale price initial date

Now we show you the values you need to select to edit the initial date of a country sale price. We will use June 5, 2020 as the starting date for the sale price.

• Select the rows that you want to update: Edit all the rows from my current search
• What field do you want to edit: Central America Sale Price Dates From, for example.
• Select type of edit: Set value
• Replace existing value with this value: 06/05/2020, for example.
• Click Execute Now.
