Do you need to hide certain product attributes from displaying on your WooCommerce frontend? Opening thousands of products one by one to deactivate the “Visible on the product page” option for their attributes is a terrible idea.
Unfortunately, manual editing seems to be the only native option in WooCommerce. The default WordPress interface does not allow you to apply this visibility change to all your products at once. Instead, you are forced to open individual product tabs, expand the attributes section, manually uncheck the visibility box, and save the product—repeating this tedious process hundreds or thousands of times.
There are many reasons why you might want to hide WooCommerce variation attributes from the “Additional Information” tab. Perhaps you use custom attributes purely for internal backend organization (like supplier IDs, bin locations, or stock statuses), or maybe you simply want to clean up your product pages to improve the customer experience.
Whatever your reason, we want to show you how to easily and quickly disable attribute visibility for thousands of products quickly. We will do it using the WP Sheet Editor – WooCommerce Products plugin. This powerful tool allows you to mass update thousands of products with just a few simple steps.
The Solution: Manage WooCommerce Like a Spreadsheet
The WP Sheet Editor plugin has been designed to bring all the time-saving benefits of spreadsheets directly to your WooCommerce store management. Using this spreadsheet interface, you can edit your products’ metadata exactly as you would in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets. By utilizing its advanced Search and Bulk Edit tools, you can perform massive database edits without overloading your server.

Once the plugin is installed and activated on your WordPress site, navigate to WP Sheet Editor > Edit Products to load the spreadsheet interface.
Now, just follow these simple steps to hide your attributes.
1. Open the Bulk Edit Tool
The Bulk Edit tool completely simplifies your WooCommerce store management. It allows you to rapidly edit thousands of products and change virtually any of their values. In this case, we will use it to target deep attribute settings and dynamically deactivate the “Visible on the product page” option.
Open the tool by clicking on the Bulk Edit button located on the plugin’s top toolbar.
2. Deactivate “Is Visible” for Your Product Attributes
Once the Bulk Edit popup is open, you need to configure the logic to tell the plugin which attributes to hide. WP Sheet Editor gives you two flexible options: you can hide all attributes storewide, or target specific ones.
Option 1: Bulk Deactivate “Is visible” for ALL attributes
If you want to completely remove the “Additional Information” tab by hiding all attributes (Color, Size, Weight, Material, etc.) across your selected products, input these values:
- Select the rows that you want to update: Edit all the rows from my current search (including non-visible rows). Note: If you only want to apply this to specific categories, run a Search first before opening the Bulk Edit tool.
- What field do you want to edit: Product attributes
- Select type of edit: Change attribute settings
- What settings do you want to change: Is visible?
- New value: No
- What attribute do you want to edit: All
- Click on Execute now to apply the mass changes.
Option 2: Bulk Deactivate “Is visible” for SPECIFIC attributes only
What if you want to keep customer-facing attributes like “Size” and “Color” visible, but hide internal tracking attributes like “Supplier Code” or “Warehouse Bin”? You can easily isolate specific taxonomies.
- Select the rows that you want to update: Edit all the rows from my current search (including non-visible rows).
- What field do you want to edit: Product attributes
- Select type of edit: Change attribute settings
- What settings do you want to change: Is visible?
- New value: No
- What attribute do you want to edit: In this dropdown, select the exact attribute you want to hide. For example, choose pa_color to hide colors, or your custom internal attribute slug.
- Click on Execute now to apply the targeted changes.
