In this tutorial, we will show you how to export post comments from WordPress to Google Sheets.
We will do this in three simple steps.
- We will connect our WordPress site to our Google Sheets account.
- We will filter our WordPress post comments only (we’ll exclude product reviews, order notes, etc.).
- We will export our WordPress post comments to Google Sheets.
For this, won’t need to install any browser extensions nor run any scripts. We’ll do everything from the WordPress admin dashboard.
We will use the WP Sheet Editor – Comments and Reviews plugin. It allows you to manage WordPress comments and reviews using an intuitive spreadsheet that allows advanced search, bulk edit, export, and import.

We will also use the Google Sheets Sync service. It works with all the spreadsheet generated by WP Sheet Editor, and allows you to export and import WordPress content (posts, pages, products, custom post types, events, taxonomies, etc.) using Google Sheets.

Follow these steps to export your WordPress post comments to Google Sheets:
1- Connect your WordPress site to your Google Sheets account
When you sign up to the Google Sheets Service, you’ll get a helper plugin, which will allow you to connect your WordPress site to your Google account, the Google API, and the WP Sheet Editor API with a few clicks.

2- Search for WordPress post comments in the spreadsheet
The WP Sheet Editor – Comments and Reviews plugin displays all types of user comments in a spreadsheet.
It allows you to view and manage WordPress comments, WooCommerce product reviews, WooCommerce order notes, etc.
We need to filter the post comments only, so we will use the Search tool.
Now select these values to search for post comments only:
- In the Post Type field, select Posts (post)
- In the Comment Type field, select Comment
- Click on Run search.
Once you run the search, you’ll see all the post comments displayed in the spreadsheet.
You’ll see the active search filters above the spreadsheet.
3- Export WordPress post comments to Google Sheets
In order to export your WordPress post comments to Google Sheets, you need to click on Export on the top toolbar.
Now let’s select these values to export your WordPress post comments to Google Sheets:
- What columns do you want to export: You can type specific column names, select all the active columns, or select all the columns to export them to Google Sheets.
- Which rows do you want to export: Select the rows you’ll export: All the rows from my current search
- What app will you use to edit this file: Select the Google Sheets app.
- Enter a name for this export.
- Click on Start new export.
Once the export process is completed, you’ll see the View Google Sheet link. If you click on it, you’ll be able to open the Google Sheet that was generated with this export.
After exporting your post comments data from WordPress to Google Sheets, you’ll be able to view and manage the data in Google Sheets.
