How to Bulk Edit Ultimate Member Forms using a Spreadsheet

In this post, we show you how to bulk edit Ultimate Member forms. For this, we will use an intuitive spreadsheet inside WordPress. This way you don’t have to open the forms one by one, but you can quickly edit them from the spreadsheet.

In addition, you will learn how to use any field in your forms as a search parameter. For example, you’ll search for forms by form type, by date, and so on. You can save hundreds of hours and clicks and increase your productivity!

For this, we’ll use the WP Sheet Editor plugin.

Once the plugin has been installed and activated, you need to follow the steps in the following sections to learn how to bulk modify Ultimate Membership forms using WP Sheet Editor.

1- How to set up the forms spreadsheet

  • Go to WP Sheet Editor > Setup Spreadsheet.
  • Enter um_form in Select the information that you want to edit in the spreadsheet.
  • Click Save.

Now select the columns you’ll display in the spreadsheet and the ones you’ll hide.

  • Enabled: Here are all the columns that will be visible in the spreadsheet.
  • Disabled: Move all the columns you want to hide from the spreadsheet here.
  • Scroll down and click Save.

Once you do that, you’ll see all the Ultimate Member forms displayed in the spreadsheet. Every row is a form and every column is a field.

2- How to search for the forms you’ll update

WP Sheet Editor contains a Search tool that allows you to use any field as a search parameter. You can search for your Ultimate Member forms by date, status, type, etc.

You can open it with one click on Search; it’s on the top toolbar.

In the following drop-down sections, we show you how to search for your forms using advanced search filters.

a) How to search for Ultimate Member forms by keyword

You can search for all your forms containing a specific keyword in their titles. For that, you need to:

  1. Enter the desired keyword in Contains keyword.
  2. Click Run Search.

Once you select these values in the Search tool, you’ll see all forms containing it in their titles displayed in the spreadsheet.

b) How to search for Ultimate Member forms by date

To search for all the forms created on June, 2020, you need to select the following values in the Search tool:

  • Tick the Enable advanced filters checkbox.
  • Select the initial date in Date range from.
  • Select the final date in Date range to.
  • Click Run Search.

Now you’ll see all the forms created on the date range you selected displayed in the spreadsheet.

c) How to search for forms by form type

In this example, we’ll search for all registration forms. For that, we need to select the following values in the Search tool:

  • Tick the Enable advanced filters checkbox.
  • Field: Um Mode
  • Operator: =
  • Value: register
  • Click Run Search to filter all registration forms.

Now you’ll see all registration forms displayed in the spreadsheet.

3- How to bulk edit Ultimate Member forms

Once you’ve selected the Ultimate Member forms you’ll modify, you need to open the Bulk Edit tool with one click.

Here are two examples of some changes you can apply to all the filtered Ultimate Member forms:

a) How to delete all the filtered forms

You can completely delete all the filtered/selected items by applying the bulk update manually, or you can use our automatic bulk deletion by hovering over Bulk Edit and clicking the Delete option.

Once the Bulk Edit tool opens, click Execute Now.

With this option, you don’t need to manually select the values to apply; just take into account the items will be removed completely.

You can also apply the changes manually. Just open the Bulk Edit tool and select the following values:

  • Select the rows that you want to update: Edit all the rows from my current search
  • What field do you want to edit: Status
  • Select type of edit: Set value
  • Replace existing value with this value: Delete completely or Trash
  • Click Execute Now.

b) How to change form type in bulk

If you want to change form type for all the selected forms, you need to select the following values in the Bulk Edit tool:

  • Select the rows that you want to update: Edit all the rows from my current search
  • What field do you want to edit: Um Mode
  • Select type of edit: Set value
  • Replace existing value with this value: Login, for example.
  • Click Execute Now.

As you can see, bulk editing Ultimate Member forms is really easy and fast with WP Sheet Editor. You don’t have to open them one by one, but you can edit them as if you were using Excel or Google Sheets. In addition, you can search forms using any search value and then edit all the search results.
