Finding every order that includes a specific product SKU is essential for inventory reconciliation, supplier reports, returns processing, and post-launch audits. WooCommerce does not make it simple to search across all orders for SKUs or export only those orders, especially when SKUs are embedded in line items or stored in order meta.
With WP Sheet Editor – WooCommerce Orders, you can search orders by SKU (or by the products containing those SKUs). You can refine results by date or status, and export a clean report to CSV files that you can view and edit with Excel, Google Sheets, or any other CSV editor. Instead of exporting your entire order history and cleaning it in a spreadsheet, filter and download only the orders that contain the SKU(s) you need.

This tutorial shows step-by-step how to find orders that contain specific SKUs and export them for fulfillment, accounting, or supplier delivery.
Why export orders by SKU?
Exporting orders filtered by SKU helps operations, finance, and suppliers work with precise data. Common reasons include:
- Reconcile inventory by exporting sales for each SKU during a date range.
- Send supplier orders containing only the SKUs they need to fulfill.
- Audit product launches to measure SKU performance and returns.
- Identify refunds or chargebacks tied to a SKU.
- Prepare SKU-specific reports for finance or marketing.
Using WP Sheet Editor avoids manual searches and ensures your exported file includes exactly the fields your team requires.
Step 1. Open the WooCommerce Orders spreadsheet
After installing WP Sheet Editor – WooCommerce Orders, go to WP Sheet Editor → Edit orders. Your WooCommerce orders will display as rows, with columns for totals, billing, shipping, line items, and any order meta.
Step 2. Open the “Search” tool
The Search tool allows you to find all WooCommerce orders containing specific products, so you can use the SKU of the products to search for orders by SKU.
Step 3. Filter orders by SKU
Once you’re in the Search tool:
- Locate the Find orders containing these products field. Note. You can enter multiple SKUs to search for orders with multiple products. Just enter one at a time to select the product associated to it.
- Select if the product:
- Must contain all the products selected
- Must contain at least one of the products selected
- Enter the SKU of the product you want to find in your orders. It will scan your products and find the one containing the entered SKU.
- Select the product containing that SKU.
Once you have selected the product/products, click on Run search to filter your WooCommerce orders by SKU.
After running the search, the spreadsheet will display all orders that include products with the selected SKUs.
Important. You can combine the SKU filter with additional conditions to narrow results:
- Status | = | completed
- Billing country | = | US
- Payment method title | Any of these values | Stripe, PayPal
Layering filters lets you export SKU sales only for a specific period, region, or status.
Step 4. Export the SKU order list
When your filter returns the correct orders, click Export in the toolbar.
Once you’re in the Export tool, select these values to export your WooCommerce orders by SKU:
- What columns do you want to export: You can export all fields/columns or select specific columns.
- Which rows do you want to export: All the rows from my current search
- What app will you use to edit this field: In this case, we will export it to CSV file, but you can also export it to Excel file.
- Name of this export: Add a name like “WooCommerce orders by SKU”.
- Click on Start new export to generate your file.
Here’s what the exported CSV file containing orders by SKU looks like:
Many store owners need to export WooCommerce orders by SKU for practical, everyday operations. For example, if you work with a dropship supplier, you may need to send them a list of orders that contain specific SKUs so they can fulfill the products they manage. This ensures accurate processing and prevents delays in shipping.
Exporting orders by SKU is also useful when auditing the performance of a new product after launch. By quickly isolating all orders that include that SKU, you can analyze sales trends, customer interest, and revenue impact without digging through unrelated data.
Another common scenario is inventory reconciliation. When you export SKU-specific sales within a certain time period, it becomes much easier to verify stock levels, detect discrepancies, and plan upcoming restocks based on real demand.
Finally, filtering orders by SKU helps you identify patterns in returns or refunds. If a specific SKU shows frequent issues, you can catch the problem early—whether it’s product quality, shipping damage, or customer misunderstanding, and take steps to correct it.
