AI prompts for generating SEO titles and descriptions

To help you automate your SEO workflow, here are some AI prompts you can use to generate Rank Math SEO titles and meta descriptions automatically. These prompts take into account your post title, content, and target SEO keywords, but you can tweak them as needed to better fit your niche and writing style.

Important: These prompts assume you already have key information like the post title, content, and SEO keywords. The AI will reference these fields to generate optimized metadata. However, feel free to customize them to get the best results.

AI prompt for generating Rank Math SEO titles

Use the following prompt to create compelling, keyword-rich SEO titles for your WordPress posts:

Generate a concise, engaging SEO title (50-60 characters) based on the $Title$ and $Content$, ensuring it includes the $Rank Math Focus Keyword$. The title should be natural and compelling. Return plain text, free of quotation marks or unnecessary punctuation.

AI prompt for generating Rank Math SEO descriptions

You can use this prompt for generating SEO descriptions for your WordPress posts:

Generate a compelling SEO description based on the $Rank Math Title$ and $Content$, including the $Rank Math Focus Keyword$. The description should be engaging, summarize the key points of the post, and encourage reader interest. Keep it under 155 characters for optimal search engine visibility. Return plain text only.

You can save these prompts as global prompts in order to reuse them using a simple shortcut.

Go to WP Sheet Editor > AI > Settings > Prompts.

Once there, click on Add new.

Now you need to add the prompts:

• Name: Add prompt names that are easy to remember, like “SEO Title” and “SEO Description”. This is important because, once you save the changes, each prompt will automatically generate a prompt slug that you’ll be able to use as a prompt shortcut like ai:seo-title or ai:seo-description.
• Prompt: Enter the prompt text here.
• Click on Save.

Open the WordPress posts spreadsheet

To open the posts spreadsheet, you need to go to WP Sheet Editor > Edit posts, and you will see all your posts listed in the spreadsheet.

Generate Rank Math SEO title with AI in spreadsheet cells

Once you have created your global prompts, you can go to the Rank Math Title column and start generating SEO titles for your WordPress posts, for which you have two options:

1. You can add the global prompt’s shortcut. Just type ai:prompt-slug, replacing the prompt-slug part with the actual prompt slug of your global prompt. For example, our prompt slug is “seo-title”, so we need to type ai:seo-title in the cells of the Rank Math Title column.
2. You can use the full prompt. Just type ai:prompt, replacing the prompt part with the actual full prompt.

In this example, we will use the ai:seo-title shortcut to generate our SEO titles with generative AI.

The AI will start working, and you’ll see a loading icon in the cell for some seconds. And when it’s done, you’ll see the generated SEO title.

You can generate multiple SEO titles in the spreadsheet cells by pasting the prompt or prompt shortcut in multiple cells.

We have generated multiple Rank Math SEO titles with AI, so we will save the changes.

Bulk generate Rank Math SEO title with AI

If you want to generate Rank Math SEO titles in bulk, you can do it using the Bulk Edit tool, which allows you to update any field in thousands of posts at once.

In this example, we will first filter all the posts missing SEO title, so we need to start by opening the Search tool.

Now select these values in the Search tool to search for posts without SEO title:

• Tick the Enable advanced filters checkbox.
• Field: Rank Math Title
• Operator: =
• Value: Leave this field empty.
• Click on Run search.

After filtering the posts we want to edit, we need to open the Bulk Edit tool.

And we need to select these values in order to generate the SEO titles using artificial intelligence:

Option 1: Using global prompt

• Select the rows that you want to update: Edit all the rows from my current search.
• What field do you want to edit: Rank Math Title
• Select type of edit: You can select a pre-saved global prompt. For example, we will select our pre-saved SEO title prompt, displayed as AI command: SEO Title. This way, you don’t have to type the prompt.
• AI Provider: If you have configured multiple providers, you can select the one you want to use to complete this task.
• You can click on Show preview to see the result before saving the changes.
• Now you can click on Execute Now and the AI will start generating your SEO titles.

Option 2: Using full prompt in the Bulk Edit tool

• Select the rows that you want to update: Edit all the rows from my current search.
• What field do you want to edit: Rank Math Title
• Select type of edit: AI prompt
• AI Provider: If you have configured multiple providers, you can select the one you want to use to complete this task.
• Prompt: Enter the full prompt here.
• You can click on Show preview to see the result before saving the changes.
• Now you can click on Execute Now and the AI will start generating your SEO titles.

Generate SEO descriptions with AI in spreadsheet cells

Go to the Rank Math Description column and start generating AI SEO descriptions for your WordPress posts. You have two options:

• Use the global prompt’s shortcut. Simply type ai:prompt-slug, replacing prompt-slug with the actual slug of your global prompt. For example, if your prompt slug is “seo-description”, you would type ai:seo-description in the cells of the Rank Math Description column.
• Use the full prompt. Type ai:prompt, replacing prompt with the complete prompt text.

Bulk generate Rank Math SEO descriptions using AI

In this example, we will search for all the posts missing SEO description in order to automatically write the descriptions using AI in bulk.

Now select these values to filter the posts without SEO descriptions:

• Tick the Enable advanced filters checkbox.
• Field: Rank Math Description
• Operator: =
• Value: Leave this field empty.
• Click on Run search.

After filtering the posts missing SEO descriptions, open the Bulk Edit tool.

And you need to select these values in order to generate the SEO descriptions using artificial intelligence:
