WooCommerce – Deactivate “Is visible” for All product Attributes at Once

Opening thousands of products on by one to deactivate the Is visible option to their attributes doesn’t seem to be a great idea. Unfortunately, it seems to be the only option in WooCommerce. It doesn’t allow you to apply this change to all your products without having to open several tabs and clicking the necessary options a lot of times.

That’s why we want to show you how to easily and quickly deactivate this option for thousands of product attributes. We’ll do it using the WooCommerce Products Spreadsheet plugin. It allows you to apply changes to thousands of products with just some simple steps.

This plugin has been designed to bring all the benefits of spreadsheets to your WooCommerce store management. Using the spreadsheet, you can edit your products’ info just as you would do in Excel or Google Sheets. Using the Search and Bulk Edit tools, you can do advanced searches and massive edits.

Once installed and activated, you need to go to Sheet Editor > Edit Products to open the plugin.

Now just follow these simple steps.

1- Open the Bulk Edit tool

This tool completely simplifies your WooCommerce store management. You can quickly edit thousands of products, any of their values. In this case, it will help you deactivate the Is visible option.

Open the tool by clicking on Bulk Edit on the plugin’s toolbar.

2- Deactivate “Is visible” for all your products attributes

Now you need to select these values in order to deactivate the Is visible option for all your product attributes.

Option 1: Deactivate “Is visible” for all attributes

• Select the rows that you want to update: Edit all the rows from my current search (even non-visible rows)
• What field do you want to edit: Product attributes
• Select type of edit: Change attribute settings
• What settings do you want to change: Is visible?
• New value: No
• What attribute do you want to edit: All
• Click on Execute now to apply the changes.

Option 2: Deactivate “Is visible” for specific attributes

• Select the rows that you want to update: Edit all the rows from my current search (even non-visible rows)
• What field do you want to edit: Product attributes
• Select type of edit: Change attribute settings
• What settings do you want to change: Is visible?
• New value: No
• What attribute do you want to edit: pa_color, for example. Here you need to select the attribute you want to edit: color, country, size, etc.
• Click on Execute now to apply the changes.

Done!

You don’t need to spend many hours trying to change that value for your product attributes. You just need to take these simple steps and you’ll have edited the Is visible option in all your WooCommerce products attributes.
