WooCommerce – Sort Product Attributes Alphabetically or Any Order

In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to sort WooCommerce product attributes alphabetically or any order. This is useful to select the order in which product attributes will appear in your WooCommerce store.

For this example, we’ve created the following product attributes:

• Age
• Color
• Genre
• Label
• Material
• Season
• Size
• Year

And we’ll show you how to sort them using the WP Sheet Editor – WooCommerce Products plugin. With WP Sheet Editor, you can boost your productivity by managing your products using an intuitive spreadsheet, which allows you to do advanced searches and apply bulk edits.

Once you install and activate the plugin, follow these steps to order product attributes:

1- Open the WooCommerce products spreadsheet

To open the products spreadsheet, go to Sheet Editor > Edit Products.

You will see all your WooCommerce Products displayed on the spreadsheet; every product is a row and every field is a column.

2- Sort the product attributes alphabetically or any order

After opening the WooCommerce products spreadsheet, move to the Product Attributes column. In every column for which you want to change attribute positions, click on Edit attributes.

To sort the attributes alphabetically, you need to click on the Name column title.

If a small upward pointing arrow appears next to the title of the “Name” column, it means that the attributes have been sorted alphabetically, and the values in the position column will be added automatically.

You can assign any other position, not just alphabetical position. The attributes will get the position based on the number you assign to them in the Position column. You can assign the order starting from the number 0. This means that 0 is the first position, 1 is the second position, etc.

Once you’ve assigned positions to the attributes, click on Save changes.
