Let’s see how to feature low stock products in the WooCommerce catalog.
Featuring low stock products in your WooCommerce store can be a good strategy to boost your sales and improve customer engagement.
There are many reasons for this, here are some of them:
- Create urgency: When your customers see a product is almost gone, they hurry to buy it before it’s too late. This urgency can significantly boost your sales.
- Clear out your inventory: Featuring your low stock items as part of a clearance sale helps you sell out the last of your inventory quickly, making room for new products.
- Increase purchase decisions: Highlighting low stock products can push customers to make quicker buying decisions, which means more sales for you, faster!
- Enhance customer trust: By featuring low stock products, you’re being transparent and helping customers make informed decisions.
Featuring low stock products can be great, but WooCommerce doesn’t allow you to do it easily. You have to open and feature your low stock products one by one. And that takes a lot of time.
Fortunately, we will show you how featuring low stock products can be easy with the WP Sheet Editor – WooCommerce Products plugin.
It allows you to view and manage your WooCommerce items using a spreadsheet interface.
You can search for products using any field as a search filter, and bulk edit any field in hundreds of products.
In this case, it will allow us to search for low stock products and feature them in the store.

After installing the plugin and activating your license, you need to follow the steps below:
1- Open the spreadsheet
To view your WooCommerce products in the spreadsheet, you need to go to WP Sheet Editor > Edit products.
2- Search for your low stock products
Since we want to highlight our products with low stock, it is best to look for all products with low stock level.
What we mean by low stock is subjective, and you know what the low stock threshold is.
In our case, any product that has a stock of 10 or fewer units can be considered low stock, so let’s use the Search tool to find all products with stock =< 10.
Once you open the Search tool, select these values to search for all low stock products:
- Tick the Enable advanced filters checkbox.
- Field: Stock
- Operator: <=
- Value: 10. Remember that this number may change for every store.
After running the search, you’ll see all products with stock equal or less than 10 units displayed in the spreadsheet.
You can check the Stock column to corroborate that the search results show all low stock products.
3- Feature low stock products in bulk
We can now proceed to feature all the products we have filtered.
Optional – You can use the spreadsheet to feature your products with low stock after filtering them. Just go to the “Is featured” column, check the checkbox on the products you want to feature, and save the changes. You can skip this if you want to bulk feature products.
If you want to edit all search results (feature all products with low stock in this case), you need to open the Bulk Edit tool.
Once you’re in the Bulk Edit tool, you need to select these values in order to feature your WooCommerce low stock products:
- Select the rows that you want to update: Edit all the rows from my current search.
- What field do you want to edit: Is featured?
- Select type of edit: Set value
- Replace existing value with this value: Tick this checkbox.
- Optional – You can edit parent products only or variations only.
- Click on Execute now.
Once you’ve featured all your low stock products, you can corroborate the change by paying attention to the Is featured column. As you can see, all the products have the checkbox enabled.
With WP Sheet Editor – WooCommerce Products, it’s really easy to feature hundreds of low stock products at once and save a lot of time to rest or work on something else and increase your productivity.
